once upon a time, she was madly in love. maybe love's not the word, she was blinded by her own self-deluded infatuation. she was very much breathing the person she liked, she dedicated a journal to him and wrote sweet things about him.
she remembers, she used to moon gaze with him. at times, he would tell her to look at the moon.
he said, "look at the full moon" "its not full, its semi-full" "well, i took part of it. give me your hand."
he placed his palm upon hers and whispered, "here, my part of the moon to you. keep it."
but all good things come to an end ey? he found another light and left. she took a while to recuperate and moved on.
but that part of the moon he gave her- she still keeps it close to her heart. night brings back memories. the silver glow that brightens up the raven velvet sky puts her heart in turmoil- a feather of lightness but weighed with bitter.
she's all mended now but still tainted with scars- scars she will hide well. everyone's been damaged before, it's just a phase- a necessity for growing up.
